Part of Torus' Area Action Plan for Fingerpost & Parr, Somerset Street is one of seven sites that the organisation has invested in to create new, modern, energy efficient homes.

With the site consisting of 2 two-bedroom bungalows, 28 two-bedroom and 10 three-bedroom homes, all of which will be available via Affordable Rent and Rent to Buy, Somerset Street will see brownfield land transformed, not only creating a new homes in an established community, but also tackling a number of antisocial behaviours, such as fly tipping, through its redevelopment.

A key area of focus for Torus as a group, Somerset Street is one of nine sites under development by Torus in St Helens, which will have a number of positive ramifications for future residents and the wider community, as it will help unlock new employment and training opportunities and further support from the Torus Foundation.

Expected completion Autumn 2025.
